Bonnie is a 10 year old Pomeranian. She was picked up as a stray but had a chip so they kept her in the shelter an extra 10 days, but sadly no one came for her. She’s a sweet, gentle girl. She needs a dental cleaning which Dogs Without Borders will pay for.
Foster update: Bonnie loves to be pet. She sometimes has bursts of energy in which she’ll run around a bit, but then settles down pretty quickly. She does have kind of a limp with her back legs and is a little stiff getting up and falls down a lot. But that doesn’t seem to slow her down! At first she would pace around the apartment or my room endlessly but now she is getting more familiar she’ll walk around a little bit but then lay down. We have another pomeranian and they get along just fine. They don’t really bother with eachother but sometimes eat from the same food dish and don’t seem to mind the other one being there. I also walk them at the same time and they are fine with that. Bonnie sleeps in her crate at night because otherwise she was just pacing around the apartment. She only barks if she really wants something – to go out or is hungry. She is fine in the car – doesn’t bark. She is a little skittish of people picking her up or touching her body but i think she just doesn’t know what they are going to do. Otherwise she warms up to people very quickly and wants them to pet her. She seems genuinely happy and I think she would make a great addition to anyone’s family. She is super sweet and chill and just appreciates whatever you do for her.
