Poor Sox was at the shelter over a month. He became very scared and shut down. He likes people and other dogs but he hates the chaos of the shelter.
Sox is in boarding and hangs out in the office:
Sox is still pretty scared but he’ll quietly come up to me and I’ll feel his nose on my leg and then if I acknowledge him, he will wag his tail a little bit. He started playing with a toy on his own today and even took it into his crate. We just give him his space and let him do his thing and praise him when he comes up to us.
Update: See his video. He’s coming out of his shell!
