This little Bean is a tiny survivor with a huge personality! At the tender little age of 2 days old her foster discovered that she had a cleft palate/lip, Due to this she was not able to nurse on her own and had to be separated from her mom and litter mates so she can be tube fed. At that point it was a fight for survival as a lot of cleft puppies have a very low chance at survival. But Bean has proven to be a big fighter in a teeny little body. Her last vet appt showed that the cleft is not affecting her soft palate though so she is able to eat fully on her own with no issues. So her cleft lip is purely cosmetic. But we think she is perfect the way she is!
Bean is a super playful with A LOT of puppy energy and would benefit greatly from another small dog who can entertain her while being her role model. She has immense curiosity and always observing and exploring the world around her. Bean would best thrive in a household where her humans are home often to give her the TLC she needs and deserves. Bean is currently working on potty training, but needs a bit more practice. She will seek out the pee pad, but needs to perfect her aim. Like most puppies, she can be very mouthy and will attempt to eat/bite anything around her, so needs to be supervised when not in a safe and secure area.
