Oh Bobby! Bobby was rescued from the shelter when he was 4 months old. Bobby thrives with structure and routine, when he knows what to expect day in and day out. Bobby is very smart and knows all his commands, he loves walks and enjoys playing with all types of toys. Bobby easily gets overstimulated so he needs someone who will read his cues; he may be getting pet or jumping up at you out of excitement and out of no where stop and growl so that is when you stop petting him and let him go on his way. He also has episodes of fly biting which is snapping at the air around him, like he is trying to catch a bug. When Bobby meets someone he is unfamiliar with he does have the potential to bite if he is not yet comfortable with them; he needs time to get to know people. Although he should be the only dog in the home, Bobby does well with certain dogs but can only have short intervals of play time. When Bobby is given what he needs and in the right home, he can be a sweetheart and he loves the people trusts and those who understand his cues; he’s an amazing dog with a playful personality.
Bobby needs an experienced person who knows dog body language and can understand that Bobby can get overstimulated especially in situations he’s not comfortable with. He absolutely needs to be in a household with structure and routine. No kids, cats or dogs in the home.
