Clarissa was rescued from the streets of Mexico. She is sweet and shy, and slow to warm up. She’s cautious of new people, but with lots of encouragement she will come for treats and wag her tail when praised.
She is very nervous around anything new (loud dogs, strangers, etc) but is settling in at her foster home and making herself comfortable. She sleeps well, eats well, and is going to the bathroom outside. When she first arrived, she was too nervous to go to the bathroom at all, and held it in for 24 hours so will require a calm adjustment period. She’s happy just lounging while you work, occasionally chewing on a toy, but mainly just napping. She’s super cute and we’re excited to see her blossom as she gets more comfortable!
Clarissa is a FLIGHT RISK. She has lived on the streets and is not afraid to make a run for it. She is timid with new people but eager to learn. She requires a SECURE yard and another dog in the home.
She is learning some basics from her foster family.
