Curly Sue was rescued from a high kill shelter a matted mess. Now look at her!
Curly Sue seems uncomfortable when other dogs approach her and may be fearful of them so no other dogs in the home. She’s not a fan of cats either. Since she is fearful of quick movements we think she’d be best in an adult only home. If you’re looking for one perfect dog to complete your family Curley Sue is it as long as she is the the only child in the home, be they canine, feline or human.
Foster update: She is very sweet. She lets us cuddle her, pick her up, and I’ve never seen a dog get more excited when we come home. She loves playing and being near you, but will also go into her crate to lay down if she wants alone time. When she wants attention she’ll let you know and come sit near you or make tiny little howling noises while she shakes her whole body to let you know she wants to be picked or up or be pet.
I cannot emphasize enough how sweet and loving she is once you gain her trust. She is completely house broken but will not let you know when she needs to go out (we take her out every 3-4 hours to avoid accidents). She hates being brushed and will bare her teeth, but is very well behaved the couple times we have had to bathe her. She rarely barks and when she does it’s usually a couple times out of excitement to go outside.
