Emily comes to us from Iran. She was rescued when she was found next to a grocery store begging for food on a busy road. She was so small and vulnerable that it broke her rescuers heart. She has been a pleasure since. It is thought that she lived in a home and was most likely kicked out when she grew too big. This happens often in Iran, unfortunately. Emily is a happy, loving and super confident dog. She likes to play with the other dogs. She’s has a strong personality, but she’s not a bully. All she wants to do is to be with a human. She sleeps next to a shelter worker’s door every night so that she can be close to him. It’s sweet and heart breaking at the same time. Anyone who would adopt her would have a great time with her.
She got housebroken in no time!
Emily is such a happy girl. She deserves to find her forever family! Emily enjoys being with people so much that she gets anxious when she is left alone, so would prefer to have someone around often. She is an energetic girl that would prefer to have a very secure yard to hang out and spend time with her person, or long walks to see the world. Emily would be a great hiking partner for an active person. She is great with everyone she meets and will smother your face in kisses the first chance she gets, she would love a home with another friendly and playful dog, but with an experienced person that can give her structure, the proper amount of exercise and boundaries. Once someone gives this girl a chance they will truly fall in love.
