Harut is the sweetest, most polite, non shedding, 15 lb little buddy ever! He’s the perfect combination of affectionate and independent. He’s not needy for attention but thoroughly enjoys being pet, likes napping beside me in his bed while I work and watching us while we cook and do things around the house. He’s just happy to be here! MAJOR PLUS, he’s not a whiner or barker (even when his foster sibling relentlessly barks at the mailman, or any voice near our house, he does not feel the need to chime in.) He’d be great in a home with or without other pets. He pretty much ignores the foster cat sibling in the home and walks side by side with his foster sibling dog on walks but they aren’t super playful — however, he might be more playful with a more engaging dog. He’s great with new people and animals. If friends come over, he’ll go sit on their lap. If dogs approach him on walks he’s very polite and lets them sniff his bum. Speaking of walks, he LOVES walks. He’s great on leash (not a puller or erratic.) He gets so excited to go on walks, he’ll trot for the first few minutes— the longer the better as far as Harut’s concerned. He also loves hanging out in the backyard. He is pretty great about going potty outside. He’s had a few slips in the house but never in his crate. He’s not responsive to potty pads. He’s getting very good about standing by the door when he needs to pee. He is not especially food driven but loves meal time. He does not beg when his human fosters eat at all. He eats in a separate space from his foster sibling (but the rooms are open and adjoining) and he is very good about not going over to her area if he’s done first. He’s also learning how to sit before his foster puts his food bowl down. He has not been around kids or larger dogs yet in his foster home but can be grouchy if roused when sleeping so a home without young children would be best.
