We received a plea from the shelter about Harvey that he has until the end of because he was not walking very well, was skittish and even tried to bite a kennel attendant. But it was clear to us that he was neglected and needed our help, so we rescued him from the shelter and had him seen by a vet. He was underweight, covered in dirt and bushes and although shy was extremely sweet with everyone. We found out that Harvey does have some arthritis that is very common in his breed so he is on some supplements that he seems to be doing well on.
Harvey is a mellow, very sweet and lovable dog, that is looking for a calm environment with lots of room to explore. Even though he won’t be going on any hikes, Harvey loves a nice relaxing stroll around the neighborhood. He’s house trained and crate trained and is the more he gets to know his foster the more of his personality is coming out. He loves to be a shadow but enjoys his naps near his person as well. Harvey is fine with other dogs as long as they are not high energy and able to co exist peacefully. Due to his arthritis he cannot be in a home with young children as he does prefer his independence in his retirement.
