Henney is good with other dogs (she was in a kennel with three others at the shelter and loves cuddling with my two boys). She’s completely potty trained and has had zero pee pee accidents in the house since I’ve had her. She’s really good on a leash and easy to walk (even with two other dogs in tow). She bonds very quickly with her person and has basically glued herself to me since I brought her home. She loves cuddling and being held and her only issue is that she has separation anxiety, but her sad howls aren’t loud enough for my neighbors to hear them, which is why I’m able to keep fostering her. She loves giving kisses and sleeping near her person and is very chill. A couple walks a day seems to get most of her energy out, and when we’re at home she just wants to sleep near me. She’d be the PERFECT dog for a retiree, someone who works from home, or someone who can take their dog to work with them. She’s shy with new dogs and people at first but warms up if she’s given a bit of time and space.

Foster update: She loves walks, fetch, playing with her toys, and playing with the other dogs in the home, but she’s happy to cuddle up with her human on the couch for hours at a time as well.

She’s also the best little dog to take to restaurants and cafes, cause she’ll lay on your lap contentedly and won’t try to go for the food that’s right in front of her.

I think she’d be fine in a home where the adopter has to work as long as she has another dog there to keep her company. Or vice versa, if she’s the only dog in the home, she’d do well with someone who works from home or can take her to the office. As long as her new person understands that she needs time to warm up to them and it won’t be an “instant connection,” they’ll be rewarded with endless love and kisses for the rest of her life.
