Howard is doing well in his foster home. He was very scared at first and it did take him awhile to warm up to the foster. Understandable as he was terrified in the shelter. Howard is now enjoying belly rubs and cuddling. Howard loves his walks as you can see by his photos and is a breeze on leash. Right now Howard is not fond of strangers though and doesn’t like being approached by them. He prefers to make the decision of who he is going to trust and when. For that reason he has to be in a secure home. We don’t want him dashing out if he gets scared.
Howard would do best in a calm and peaceful home that will give him the space that he needs for the first couple of days to get to know his surroundings and people. Although Howard is not aggressive, a home with children may not be a good fit due to his fear and trust issues.
