Keeper is just about one of the friendliest dogs you will meet. He has no fear and is super excited to meet everyone. He is very calm and easy going when in the home and loves being outside and exploring the world. A little too much so because he will try to bolt at any chance he gets, ready to explore. That said he needs to be key VERY securely on a leash and extra caution needs to be used with doors and gates because he will RUN and fast. He needs a very secure home that can keep him extra safe by not allowing him to dart out/escape (e.g. should be held on leash or secure in another room/crate if a door is opening even for a second. And, he should never be left in a yard unattended because he could jump or dig his way out.).
Keeper is truly such a sweetheart. He loves playing fetch and doing zoomies so a yard is preferred, he just needs a secure one with close supervision. He does well with the cat in the home too and is good with other dogs. That said, if he is challenged by another dog he will not back down so if there is another dog in the home, he/she must be well adjusted and playful. Keeper’s separation anxiety has improved significantly and we have also seen him now around kids and we was just fine. That said, extreme caution needs to be used with doors and gates as he is a huge door dasher. Keeper gets extremely car sick so don’t expect too many road trips with him 😉
