Mango (Rudy)

Here comes yummy Mango!! This guy is young and full of playful fun. He came in as a stray and was very scared with shelter staff but he leaped right into the arms of our rescuer and showed no fear at all. He’s very soft like a lamb and is good with other dogs and people. He loves to run, walk, cuddle, and then play some more. We know he’s going to find an amazing home soon!
Foster update:
Mango is a great dog that is full of energy and endless play. Mango is still a young boy so needs some work on basic manners, but he is oh so smart! Mango loves to play with other dogs, toys and is up for a jog anytime. Mango can be very mouthy when playing so a home with young children may not be ideal. He is still working on house training and seems to be catching on quick with routine and consistency.
Mango will need an active home that will take him on daily walks/jogs. Preferably with another dog companion to play with, older kids should be ok as long as they are able to help in the training to redirect the mouth play. Mango is the kind of dog that is young and impressionable so will need someone that will not allow him to be in charge or he may steer in the wrong direction. Boundaries and consistency is needed for this beauty to thrive.
Mango is a very young boy that clearly has had no training or boundaries. He is really energetic and needs constant stimulation both mentally and physically, so does require a home that is able to give him lots of proper exercise and basic training with structure and boundaries. Mango does have some mild leash reactivity to people and other dogs which seems to increase with the person that he bonds to, so it’s important that this person be confident and open to working with this behavior because although he is not aggressive, if this isn’t managed it can potentially increase and become worse. Mango is pretty much a blank slate and in need of a person that is ready to take on a wonderful dog that with some time and training will definitely be your best friend!
