Minda came to us from a terrible hoarding situation where she was in a home with about 100 other dogs. We stepped in to help as many as we could! Since being in foster care she has been blossoming and showing so much affection and curiosity for the world around her.
Minda was born with a genetic deformity in some of her paws, the worst being in one of her front paws. Long walks are a no no for her right now. It’s possible a custom prosthetic could help her in the future. She is a sassy little girl who doesn’t let her disability get her down. She went from being shut down and barely mobile to opinionated and active. Her lack of usable front paws slows her down on hard surfaces, but she loves bouncing around on the sofa or blankets.
We haven’t gotten around to potty training yet, but she uses her pee pads like a pro. She holds her potty until her foster mom brings her downstairs in the morning, so she’ll be able to be potty trained as she gains more mobility.
Minda would probably do best in a home with no shared walls or with a person who works from home. She has a bit of separation anxiety and just wants to be with her human 24/7. Who can blame her after surviving a house full of 100 dogs to compete with? Minda coexists well with cats and dogs. She hasn’t shown a ton of interest in interacting with them and will do a quick little bark if they annoy her. Humans are her jam for sure. And, she loves getting pets from neighbors on her stroller walks. Experiencing the outside world is new and exciting for her – she loves nothing more than closing her eyes and letting the sun and wind hit her face.
