Onyx

Onyx was rescued from a hoarding situation and spent her early years surrounded by very many small dogs and very little socialization and structure. Since being rescued, Onyx is a still a very timid, anxious girl. The ideal home for her would be with someone who will take it super, super slow and give her space to gain your trust. Despite her trauma, Onyx does show curiosity of her surroundings and human. She explores the room when her foster Mom is not there and looks up at her to ask for treats. She has some tendencies of hoarding her treats (and possibly items) in her blankets, which probably derives from her past of having to share food with 20 other dogs! Onyx sleeps soundly throughout the night and has an adorable snore. We think a home with another confident small dog would help boost her confidence in feeling that the world around her can be safe and beautiful.
