Spike is an adorable, slim 3-year-old brindle Chihuahua mix. After being injured in a car incident last October, Spike ended up at the shelter as a stray and was put on the euthanasia list due to his medical condition. But the team at Two Hands Four Paws knew he was a fighter and worth saving. Since then, Spike has put on some much-needed weight and is gaining more strength day by day thanks to physical therapy and good nutrition. Time will tell how much of a recovery we can expect, but so far Spike is improving like a champ! He is also growing in confidence as he becomes physically stronger. He loves his little dog friends and is getting more comfortable with large dogs (sometimes he does tell them off when high energy large dogs become overwhelming). Spike is a truly loving little soul who is inquisitive, sensitive and gentle. He enjoys cuddles, snacks, and playtime with friends and toys. Spike is the perfect sidekick or pack member for anyone looking to add this sleek fellow into their hearts and home.

Spike is a courtesy post and available to adopt through a independent rescuer.
