Vera

Vera is a sweet, affectionate, loyal and loving girl who ADORES her person and just wants to be loved back. She loves cuddles, hugs, and rubs more than anything else in the world (although meals and snacks are a close second!) She is very gentle with humans. We do not know what kinds of trauma she endured in Korea, but she emerged from her hardships with a brave and resilient spirit and still wants to trust and love the humans that she meets. She can be a bit timid at first, and it is important to go slow with her, but she has a very sweet disposition and should be able to warm up to most people pretty quickly. Vera is working on basic command training, but she does want to please and is responding well to learning new commands. She does best in a home with submissive/very calm animals (or as the only princess) and female energy. Vera has been a very good girl with handling – teeth brushing, baths, nail clippings, being carried around, you name it and she will endure it graciously. She is also a very polite and dignified girl when she wants to come inside from the backyard – no scratching or barking at the door, etc. She is housebroken, crate trained, gentle, and aching for someone to love her forever. Won’t someone stop and take a second look at Vera?

I’m not really a barker but I will alert you if I hear or sense something outside as I am a protector. I can lay with you on the couch or go run around outside as long as I’m around you because I do enjoy getting pet all the time. I am also potty trained as I do like my homes when I’m in them as well the stuff inside so you can trust me that I won’t bite your shoes or nice furniture as they don’t interest me. What does interest me is a quiet home and yummy treats!

Because I have been hurt in the past, I need an adult only female household that is calm and loving. I do best with another pet or pets in the house and a yard because I am scared of busy streets and do not enjoy walking on the leash. If you’re looking for a forever best friend who can hang with you in your house and yard, I’m your girl!
